Somerville, Victoria, Australia – November 2017 — Sealite is pleased to announce the new ATLANTIC-3000, the first buoy in its class to offer a 3m diameter float section without the need for a central mooring post, making it lighter, easier to transport, and safer to assemble and deploy than steel or hybrid designs.
The new 3m diameter buoy has a focal height of up to 6 meters and can support a significant payload including lantern, power supply, telemetry and environmental monitoring equipment. The innovative modular design consists of rotationally moulded collars that connect to a central core float. Manufactured from strong, durable UV stabilised polyethylene, this large lightweight buoy provides a huge visual area for navaid recognition.
Designed for offshore, port and coastal applications, the ATLANTIC-3000 ocean buoy is easy to assemble, deploy and service. The internal tie-bars give the buoy superior lifting strength, resulting in a 10 Tonne Safe Working Load. The buoy can be easily manoeuvred around the site by convenient forklift access points and can sit flat on the deck of a vessel. The modular arrangement allows the buoy to be transported easily and safely, and assembled on site faster and at a lower cost than buoys of a comparable size.
